Spiderman 3 comes to Tumpang.Com

PETALING JAYA, 6th April 2007. Tumpang.Com is the latest idea in e-shopping. Being the very first of its kind in Malaysia, Tumpang.Com is an online bulk discount store that facilitates better discounts through bulk buying.

On Thursday, 12^th April 2007, the company will launch Movies At Tumpang which will be an ongoing Tumpang event to bring users blockbuster movies at special subsidized prices. According to founder, Jefrey Ong, “We’re selling low-priced tickets to give our users the real Tumpang experience, that this is the site for bargains, deals and best buys.”

Premiering on Movies At Tumpang will be the much-anticipated Spiderman 3. This will be a special preview happening at 9:30pm on Thursday, 3^rd May 2007 at Cathay Cineplex, Cineleisure Damansara. “Tumpang users will be amongst the first people in Malaysia to watch Spiderman 3,” said Raymond Chuah, Tumpang’s marketing man.

There will be a total of 328 tickets on sale, and they range from RM 4 to RM 8 per ticket. Tickets will be on sale in four stages from 12^th to 25^th April 2007 Users can log on to http://movies.tumpang.com on these dates to purchase tickets.

This event will be publicized exclusively via blogs. “Bloggers and their readers comprise of a generation of net-savvy folks who form a big part of our demographics,” said Ong, “and this event could very well be a big blogger gathering.”

The Tumpang team will be collaborating with other trade partners for upcoming event to give its users more value for money. These could include goodie bags and special offers for Movies At Tumpang supporters.

Tumpang.Com went live on Sunday, 1^st April 2007 and was officially launched the following day.

I hopped over to Tumpang.com a few minutes ago. Quite a nice feel, easy to navigate, they even have a Toints system for the top ranking Tumpangers , hahaha! Was browsing through their categories of goods when suddenly "Problem loading page", aiyak! The site must be going through some admin work.

Anyway, I have a suggestion for Jeffrey and his Tumpang gang. Start a bulk buy on Canon 400D DSLR or Nikon D40 DSLR. I gerenti tumpang one, heh!
